I can't say enough good things about the performance of these tires during 18 mos. on the crappy Nicaraguan roads and the 8 day drive back from Managua, Nicaragua to Michigan.

Never a problem with them and I even always had two spares (one strapped to the floor of the cargo area)!

If anyone needs trip advice for Mexico and Central America, hit me up.

I'm kind of an idiot today as well...

2001 4Runner - Stock 3.4 with truflow airfilter, all synthetic and TJM bumper. Performed flawlessly. I saw a southbound 2000ish land cruiser with California plates in Guatemala as well. I'm guessing he stopped for petrol a few more times than I did!

Also - no problems at all near 10,000 ft in the mountains in Central Guatemala, truck ran great.

I had those same tires on my last 4Runner. They're a bit pricey, but for a good stree tire, you can't beat those. I got around 75K miles out of them and they were still in good shape when I sold the truck.

I have some Michelins on another car and I couldn't believe the difference they made softer, smoother, quieter ride with better braking the rain.

When I had a real job, our only work truck, a '96 taco 4X4 had those tires and they were such a nice ride on trips to the faraway clients. I'd get them for my 4Runner, but I wanted something a little more aggressive.
