Les Schwab M-55 tires...who runs 'em?
I just installed a set of M-55 tires on a Yukon here at work, and they look halfway decent. Anybody run them, or know anything about them? I didn't get to drive the rig to see how they felt or if they were noisy at all
Les Schwab is our new tire vendor.

For mud tires, I prefer BFG's or Interco (these tires look more like an A/T). For an All-Terrian, it's BFG all the way, or I suppose Revo's .

Alot of the products Les Schwab sells look alright. They dont seem to carry anything of a name brand. Don't get me wrong they will sell you BFGs, Goodyear, Mich, Etc. but they most likely will have to order them. A friend of mine went through two sets of tires from them before I burned though my BFG A/Ts. After he realized he spent the same amount of cash as I did he started going somwhere else. My .02 cents.

My hunting buddy only buys from schwab. There is one in every town out here it seems.
These tires were 10 ply, 245/75/R16........I think $160 each, but I didn't see the bill.
The Michelins LTX that were on it were all cut up (radio truck goes up to a radar site on top of a mountain)

I believe these are built by Toyo. They make an M-55 and it looks identical to the Les tire. If that's the case, they're pretty expensive, but should be a good set of rubber.

Schwab is in Utah too and that's as close to colorado as they get but we have Discount Tire here and after 18 years of going to them I've never had a problem with anything and always price match.

The Toyo M-55 is run by alot of logging out fits that drive on logging rds alot, they hold up to the stress of the rocks, they have a hard casing which helps from not getting flats, or sepo. they might not be the best tire on the rd, they talk to you and arent every smoth but do the job off the high way. les schwabs are in montana, washington, cali, utha, idaho, alaska, prolly missing some states, over 430 stores and growing.

Toyo makes good tires and I was very happy with my M-55. Mine had thick sidewalls and I always associated them with a construction, or commercial, type tire. I liked them even more when I worked for Les Schwab and got my tires for cost + 10%.
