Hi... My name is Julie.....I am new to this forum and I have a 04 4runner SR5 2wd. In a couple of months I am gonna be purchasing new rims and tires. I have been looking around and naworred my options in between these two
I do not do any offroad but where I live we get very nasty weather in the winter...basically we get a lot of all the 4 seasons during the year so I am looking for the tire that gonna give me the best performance in general all year round in every season and also look good. And just FYI I am also planning on getting a 2.5 " /1.5 daystar if possible.

I Would greatly appreciate if you guys can give me some advice about these two.

BTW here is my rig...thanks in advance to whom ever take the time to reply to this thread.

The tires you mentioned are two different types of tires, though both are rated very good. Per Tirerack.com, the Goodyear is a Highway All Season Tire, and the Firestones are On/Off Road All Terrains

Firestones

Basing it alone on Tirerack.com, the Firestones are better. Are you looking for All Terrains or Highway Tires?

FYI...
I had just bought some tires (Silent Armors). My top two were Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo, Goodyear Silent Armor...but I wanted All Terrains because of the more aggressive look (as compared to Highway All Seasons).

There are some great deals popping up now on the Revo because the Revo2s are out.

Hey thanks for your reply...and yes I know that the Destinations are more off road AT...but because where I live I need something with good gripping in the winter but that performs good also in other weather conditions. That is why a am debating in between them 2.
The winter in Indiana gets pretty nasty. They both have very good ratings in all weahter I really dont do any offroad..but need something that also gonna last for a while and performs good in all weather conditions especially in winter time with the heavy snow.
Thanks for the tip on the Revos tho'...I appreciate it.

I would go with the Firestone's, I have a set that I still use in the winter and they perform well. Welcome to YT.
