Feedback: BFG KM2s on wet pavement

Hi all!

whoever out there is CURRENTLY RUNNING new BFG KM2s in a 31-33", i am interested in your feedback on their wet pavement performance.

i currently have 31x10.5" BFG ATs, and i am upsizing to 33x10.5".
But before i just go with the ATs again, I am interested in how well this new mudder performs on pavement. If BFG really did a good job with it, i'll move over to the MT. This is my DD so pavement use is daily.

Their website touts stronger sidewall tear resistance, and I'd like to gain that benefit, but not at the cost of significantly more chance to lock up and slide in the rain. the ATs are already a little slippery.

If the KM2s ride like the ATs but are noisier, then i'll go with them. Otherwise i'll stick with ATs.

thanx in advance!
tj

So far I have noticed the KM2s ride quite a bit rougher than my BFG ATs. I have heard mixed reports, but to me they almost seem rougher than the old KMs I used to have. Haven't had them on really wet pavement yet, but they aren't real good on ice(which I would expect). They had excellent traction in deep snow though. Hopefully others can provide better input on the wet traction.

Just got mine put on, in the 32" variety, and drove in heavy rain on Sunday at lower speeds 40-55 miles per hour. No problems with hydroplaning, but I didn't hit any standing water either. I can't compare to the AT's, but I'll say that the noise and ride on these tires is what I consider very reasonable. I had some older BFG MTs on my 99 for a short period of time about 5 years back that were at about 50% tread, and they were MUCH noisier than these. I do expect these to get noisier with time, but I can't speak to that yet.
