Question Dueler A/T Revo 2 1998 2wd 4Runner question

I have a 98 2wd 4Runner completely stock. Right now it has P255/70R15 Goodyears and they look ridiculous to me, just way too small. Ive read some good things about the Dueler A/T Revos and in looking at them on Tirerack the only two 15 inch rim sizes I see are P235/75R15 and a 31x10.5R15. I think the 31x10.5 would look much better than what I have but im just not sure if they would fit on my stock 2wd 4Runner. Any words of wisdom or suggestions on a good tire and size would be greatly appreciated.

The 31x10.50 would fit just fine and the Revo 2s are excellent all-around tires.

You also have some other size options, such as 30x9.50R15 and 245/70R15 (oh, but maybe not with the Revos).

I have 31x10.50s on right now and while they look cool, I don't especially like the way it drives on them. I don't have power steering so they take some extra effort to steer. They do give you some unintentional overdrive that takes away from your available power and reduces braking efficiency. They're a bit too wide for my liking--I prefer how narrow tires cut through snow (and water, and air).

I'm searching for some 235/75R15s to replace them.

How about these tires?

Thanks for the replies. In doing more research I've come across the BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A. If I got these in a P265/70/R15 does anyone think they would rub or give me any trouble if I install them on stock 15 inch Toyota rims on a 2wd 4Runner?

That size is smaller than 31x10.50. It would fit fine. It's very close to the size you have now though--you may not notice the size difference. I've heard good things about the Rugged Terrains too. Here's a review:

the revos are great, they have a great ride too. the rugged terrain t/a are very stiff, loud on the road, and kinda pricey for there poor value
