Dueler A/T (not Revo) Vs. BFG A/T

OK I searched, maybe not hard enough but I couldn't find anything on these 2 specifically.

I currently have the Deuler A/T (not revos) and they are good. I am considering the BFGs because of the good things I hear and they are a bit cheaper plus they look a hell of a lot nicer.

I drive 95% highway and 5% off road.
What do you guys think?

I like BFG AT's just becuase I like the mileage I get out of them. They're quiet, and they've never gotten me stuck in snow or anything else. I've put them on the past 3 vehicles I've had.

BFG A/T is a DAMN good tire. they just wear really weird if you dont keep up on the balancing and rotations.

I say BFGs all they way, like Ozzies said, as long as you keep up on the balancing and rotating they will last a long time.

amen TY. whihc reminds me i gotta go get em rotated and rebalanced

BFGs are one of the worst tires if you don't really off road. In the wet they hydroplane much sooner than my Nittos. Both Nittos and BFGs aren't the best choices for a DD anyway but if if you gotta go with an AT tire then give the Nittos a look since they have better dry grip than BFGs and just plain overall on-road manners and they will save you almost a couple hundred bucks out the door.

BFGs are awesome off road but on road they are subpar for the money you spend. Yes,on the surface they seem to wear and you can piut alot of miles on them but go check out a BFG that has alot with over 50k on 'em and sevral years of driving and you'll see the rubber get very hard and further reduces their on-road performance.
Alot of people buy BFGs based on looks alone and IMO that's a bad way to pick a tire.

I'll get close to 50k out of my Nittos but they will perform solidly for their useable life.

This is with about 30k on them and the edges are a bit worn but I drive and corner on them hard and no set of BFGs I've had had this much dry grip.

If you really don't off road then look for a more street friendly tire that'll give you the performance where you need it since it seems an agressive AT tire isn't what you need. Go with the Dueler.

have you had any difficulty balancing the Duelers? ....if not, i'd stick with them. .....i've had issues with BFG AT's and my Nitto's. ..the Terra Grappler does well off road ...but don't balance worth a damn. I'm running 265/75/16's and it takes between 9oz and 15oz per wheel to get them even close ...i won't be buying them again.

looks like i'll be going with revo's ...they are the only one i haven't tried.

I've had my Nittos on for almost 3 years and balanced only once when new and I've rarely heard about balancing issues with the Nittos but BFGs are a different story. I've also got my weights (2-5 oz on each wheel) on the inside of my rims.

i am starting to sway towards the nittos myself..i was and still am thinking of getting the KUMHO AT'S KL78'S.. they have wonderful reviews just like Nittos and are cheaper too. the only difference is nittos are 8ply or 10ply and the kumhos are 4-6ply.. but like you i drive 80% highway or more. rarely get off road but i want something that can tackle both the kumhos and the nittos are they way to go.. BF's are not needed at all in this situation

here's a vote for the deulers. i've had 'em on both of my trucks and i like them a lot. i used to run bfg at's and i actually traded them for these cause they're bigger and i like them a lot better

edit: i'd take bfg mud's over these any day though......
