hi, its time to replace my bfg at ko 265/75/16's which were D's (8 ply) and have been discontinued....... anyone running 265/75/16 E's on a 3rd gen 4runner? hows the ride? any complaints? pros/ cons?

you'll be fine. many people choose to run e-rated tires on their rigs. the downside is they are a bit stiffer and probably not going to be that much more noticeable since you had d-rated before.

I run 235/85 on my 3rd gen which are E rated. They seem to actually ride better than the C rated tires that were on there. You do "feel" the road a bit more, but they ride just fine.
I don't think you will notice a difference at all going from D's to E's.

I'm running 265/75r16 E on the '99 and 285/75r16 on the '96, but they're Michelin A/T's, not BFG. Not a big difference from the LTX M/S I had on the '96 and a huge (better) difference from the too small P rateds that came on the '99.
