Anyone with pics of 285 Treadwright Guard Dog Tires on stock 3rd Gen. rims?

I am looking at picking up a set of Guard Dogs for my 4runner and I have a specific question regarding the clearance with the 3rd gen 4Runner UCA. I know some tires will rub and some wont, and i am looking to see if anybody is currently running these on stock rims.

Here is a shot of my 265/75R16 Cooper Discoverer ST with the 882's up front.

looks like the tires that are on there are already pretty tight, i'd say about a half inch or so from hitting. 285 is just the width in mm, so if you have 265, and youre going to 285's, thats means its a 20mm difference. wich is about 3/4 of an inch.

i'd say they're gonna rub. got some 1" or maybe 1-1/2"(just to be safe) wheel spacers

Thanks, but I am specifically looking for advise on these tires. I know 285 BFG AT's will just barely fit and wanted to see if there was anybody with these exact tires who could post up pics.

Thanks, Beau

My buddy has those tires on his 3rd gen 4Runner, stock wheels. He had to get 1/4" thick wheel spacers to give enough clearance to the UCA.

Just some generic 1/4" thick wheel spacers the tire shop had, when they mounted his tires.

I've got a set of 285/75/16 Guard Dogs on my 1st gen runner (yes I had to buy new wheels). They rubbed a tad at full droop so I added some 1.5" spacers from Wabbit. The wheels I bought have 4" of backspacing (don't even get me started on that issue), what is the backspacing on your stock wheels?

The backspacing is 4-5/8".

Did you post this on ultimate yota? I know Troyboy from over there had the exact same setup.

Thanks! I found his post.

After further research, I am going to stick with the 265/75R16 and wait a couple more years to jump to 285 and regear at the same time.
