Advise needed on tire size

I'm planning on installing a 3" lift on my 97 4Runner SR5 2WD. I considering on going with 33x12.5x15 on a set of 15x10 "Black Rock 942 series rims. Is this to big of a tire for a 3" lift? Also my truck rear diff.is "factory 4.10", How high should I go on the rear differential taking in consideration the new tires? I would like to keep the same performance I have now that my truck is stock, maybe a little extra torque would not hurt! Any advise will be greatly apreciated.

You should be able to fit the diameter of the tire just fine. Depending on the backspacing of the rims, you may not fit the tire as far as being too wide.

I have 4.10 gears and 33's and do not notice any loss of power. But I keep my foot out of it. My speedo is 4mph off,by the way.

Somebody might or might not jump down your throat about using the "search" function.

Searching is your friend as this has been covered many times. But, the short answer is that the 33" will be fine with a 3" lift. I'm running a 285 75 R16 (33") on my '02 with a 3" lift and have been happy. You will probably have some minor rubbing which can be easily fixed.

I also have the 4.10 rear end and let's just say it's not a speed demon, but the performance is acceptable.
