Stowaway 2 Hitch Cargo Carrier

I needed extra cargo space for our move, but didn't want to tow a trailer or put a roof-rack on due to underground parking access problems with the 33x10.5s. I researched and found the concept of 'hitch-cargo boxes' to be interesting. I especially found the Thule Terrapin interesting, but there was no way I was paying $700+ (after shipping and tax and installation etc) so I put up an ad on craigslist to see if I could find a used one. I got a call right away that someone had a similar box called the 'Stowaway2' available. These hitches are cool because they are 'swingaway' which means that you still have full use of your real tailgate. It works great with the 2nd gen. You remove the hitch pin, unscrew the bolt and unlatch the carrier, and the whole thing swings out. Very slick. It has brake/turn signal lights, a very strong lock, and the whole thing is made of very solid material. I really like it a lot. The locking hitch pin screws in so tightly there is no play or rattling. This is an excellent idea, with no wheels or bouncing like an adventure trailer. Also parking is really easy, it doesn't extend that far back. It has a lot of storage space inside (about 12.5 cubic feet. They also make an even bigger one). I called the company in Oregon and ordered extra keys and a license plate bracket b/c/ the law says your plate has to be visible at all times. Enough talk here's some pics!
