New Canon Rebel XSI

Hiya guys, just recently gotten into this little hobby. I'm hoping a few of you guys could help me out and teach me a few things.
I'm slowly getting the hang of things, but feel that I need somebody other then me to go through a few pictures and give me some constructive criticism. Oh yeah, and only editing to these pictures are through Canon's software.

Here goes:

What are the thoughts guys?

Your composition could use a little help. Objects tend to look kinda "static" when centered in the frame - try the "rule of thirds" where you put the object of interest one third up and one third over.

If you want to learn more, check out "Understanding Exposure" Bryan Peterson

Xsi has got great reviews - definitely got the equipment you need!

Probably - but keep in mind most rules of composition are rules to be broken! 1/3rds. and all the others are a good place to start is all.

Only on Live View does it have a grid, and then you lose the ability to use autofocus :hillbill:
I guess I could line it up with the AF dots through the eyepiece.

I'll keep in mind the position on my focal point, but I'm more concerned about things like my finishing of the pictures right now.
From what I'm seeing is that they are a bit dark, but in focus. Some of them don't have a lot of color, like the pale pink... roses I think they are.
