chev v8 swap

Hey i'm thinking of putting a v8 in my 94 4runner and have some questions. I've been doing alot of reading and getting some mixed answers for some stuff. I want to put a 350 with chev tranny and i'll probably go with an adapter for the toy tcase. The 4 runner has a 3" body lift. Do i need a suspension lift in order to clear the oil pan? Can i use the stock exhaust manifolds? Any advice on this swap would be great, or if anyone has any good write ups. Thanks

I did a 350 swap into a 94 pickup. I know i have a 3 inch body and a 4 inch lift and everything cleared, but the oil pan was close. I do know that there are companies out there that make oil pans specifically for this conversion so that a big lift isnt needed. Also stock manifolds didn't work in my situation because they ran into my steering column on one side and the frame on the other. I bought custom headers from northwestoffroad and I still had to move my steering over a little to make everything fit. Its gonna be a real tight fit either way. good luck man, and post pics when you get going.

I read a few places that a 3 in body and 4 inch suspension lift with shorty and block hugger headers would fit. I'm actually just starting the same conversion myself putting a 327 SBC, 700R4 trans and a NP-208 transfer case into a 91 pickup with IFS. should be an interesting build.
