diesel conversion for 98 4runner

anyone know of a place in so cal that can swap a 4 cylinder for a turbo diesel? is this even possible on a 98 4runner?

There is a guy in Iceland that did it. He is running an Isuzu Deisel in his. Ulfr on T4R.org is his name.

I have an original 1kz-t (with a new turbocharger btw!)

The one you are referring to is called Jón Ofsi, he's got a 2.8l TDI isuzu motor.

Also there's one who put a 2.8 datsun (nissan) in, but I believe he is a mad man. (Mostly referred to as Hjalti)
