93 T100 conversion.
I'm wanting to convert my t100 to a diesel. Right now I have a 3.0l in it which has no power at all with 235,xxx on it. I was thinking a VW turbo or a 4bt cummins but I think that would be a tight squeeze and a little much of a overkill. Needing some suggestions and info on difficulty.

From what i read the benz will only produce about 80hp and 125lb ft torque. The cummins would have more power stock. Check out the toyota 3L or 5L, both over 120 hp and more torque. Some parts may be easier to find or connect without to much custom work. Saw this in this other thread

Om617 turbo has 125hp stock and 170tq. the pump can b tuned to produce 145hp easily. I'm driving a 94runner with one now. it could have more power, still way better then 3vz it replaced. mines still stock. And thay have been built to over 400hp. those ones didn't last long. 200hp isn't supposed to be to hard to get. if ir interested check out peach parts. its a good Mercedes fourm.
