No Driftmotion.com is mainly an aftermarket supplier for the 1j and 2j motors. Ill half to dig through the papers I forget the exact website I ordered the motor from. Regardless of the site they all for the most part are still coming out of Japan. So in my opinion the only difference between each of them is the final price. I paid $1,650 for mine shipped.

So for the first time I mated the trans/bellhousing and motor all together. This only temporary so I can get my mounts built. I still half to take the trasfercase off and put mu stock one on using trail gears adapter for gear driven cases. And still half to order my flywheel, clutch and slave cylinder for the R154 bellhousing. On that note would anybody be able to guide me in where I could find the covers for the service ports on the 154 bellhousing?

After looking around for a while and not finding any, or finding stupidly overpriced covers, I just made my own. I made them out of some sheet aluminum and they actually fit pretty tightly:

I know what you mean not being able to find the OEM inspection covers for the bellhousing! When I had a supra I searched hi and low for them with no avail, I don't think anyone caries them or stocks them anymore. If you're looking for the inspection cover for the lower oil pan though, driftmotion stocks them (http://store.driftmotion.com/static/...ctioncover.php) or you could likely get it from your local toyota dealer.

lol yeah I was happy to atleast see that on their. Im gonna wait another week before I order it. I still half to get the whole clutch fork assembly for my bell housing. (not to many people carry it) for 154 housing. My clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder will be coming from clutchmasters.

egesledder, those covers came out pretty good. I'll half to copy your idea on that one. Thanks

Tonight I took the A/C comp off just one less thing taking up room in the engn compartment. I read on a supra forum that a belt from a 2000 Audi A4 2.8L worked for the 1jz gte when not using the a/c comp. Buuuuuut to my disappointment either the info is false or it doesn't work for the 1j vvti. No big deal really, ill just half to measure it out and see about getting one made to fit

so came to the point of getting the body ready to go back on the frame. No way was I going to set the rusty undercarriage on that pretty new frame of mine. Originally in my head I was thinking I would go to steel supply and get about 80ft of 1inch square tubing and completely over build a frame to hold while I worked underneath. Luckily the idea of wood poped in my head for once. So instead of 2 or 3 days cutting, grinding and welding, I spent about $70 in lumber and maybe 40mins to slap this together. Called my brother over to help out and in about 30mins we had it up on the stand sitting and tied together.....MUCH EAISIER

so on a side note while im still waiting for my paint to get here for the undercarriage of the body. I was doing my weekly browse for older Toyotas and found this Beautiful Fj-60 locally on craigslist for deal that I COULD NOT turn away from. I emailed him the morning after he put it up and picked it that afternoon. Body and interior are pretty close to perfect but the frame does have some heavy surface rust. lol Even has the orginal window sticker with it. Brand new in 1986 out the door was $19,404 with Toyota suggested retail at $17,198. Has 105,000 orig miles onit with factory A/C that still works.
