Where to buy pins?

Just like the title, where can I buy the pins for the harness connectors? More specifically, I need to add a pin (wire) to a main ECU harness (E5). Where can I buy the pins?

take one off of an unused wire? I have always ended up with a bunch of extra wires.

NytWolf 07-29-2011 01:32 PM

I don't have any unused wires.

You are better off hitting a pick and pull and finding toyotas in there and cutting the plug out and using that. Unless you have good soldering skills you are begging for issues with bad connections.

Good idea! Didn't think of PnP.

And I would be skeptical if you didn't have some leftover wires unless you are transfering the ac, cruise, and abs from your donor to your 3.0vehicle.

A little bit of history: I bought a engine with complete ORS harness with all the extras needed. Only problem was, the harness was made for an 89 truck. Mine is a 92, so there were a few different wires that I had to repin or resplice. I just need to add the AC pin to the E5 connector of the main ECU.

Ah. Gotcha.

Ya pick N Pull would be your best bet. Searh for like a similar year Camry or something. II know around here they never have Runners or Tacomas.

oh ya that clears things up hehe. agreed, PnP.

This thread is a couple weeks old but you can also get them from your toyota dealer. They are a little spendy at around $6 a piece but if you just need a few to get things done its not the end of the world.

Try one of the Napa catalogs. I have seen pins in there before but not sure if they are the exact same as toyotas...
