I used the 22r mounts too, cut them off clean and trimmed them down to fit.
I still needed a hood scoop though. Put mine on backwards to pull hot air out and more cool air in through the front of truck.
Man it must have been tough for you to sit on this project for that long, you are gonna be so happy when you take the first ride.

Oh I should've noted -- I drove this thing for about a year. It was amazing! I ended up with a long commute and got a cheap little daily driver that ran on CNG, and when I did this thing got parked and I never did get to work on it.
One of the problems I never got solved completely was that the motor cuts out/hesitates when I step on the gas. But if I slowly accelerated, it had no trouble at all moving. My guess was some sort of vacuum leak, but never quite solved it back then.
