Oxygen sensor replacement ?
On the Toyota web site it states that I should replce my oxygen sensor at 128 000 km .Is this realy nescessary? I get no code from the dash ? Will this improve my fuel economy ?
Oh yeah I have a 2.7L 97runner . |

how much is an OEM o2 sensor. i figured i would replace mine soon since i have a CEL.

I realize I probably know the answer to this question already, but I have to ask. Can we use an aftermarket O2 sensor? $120 is a little steep right now.

That is interesting. Thanks for the input. I think I can get a universal O2 sensor for about $56 from Pep Boys. I like that price much better than $120.... -S |

I did a search on the net for the sensors .The picture of the stock looked the same as the Bosh.

Sorry...haven't been on in a bit, but I just got a new and put it on. It seems to be working great. Try www.sparkplugs.com...they've got a denso universal that runs 49.95. All you've got to do is cut the plug off the old one...they've got the instructions and connections in the box with the new sensor.

After you change it do you have to reset the computer or does it automatically reset itself? Thanks

I think you have to reset it yourself by pulling the efi fuse...at least that's what I did
