I bought mine from the dealer for about $120 and it took less then 10 minutes to install. Hope this helps.

I realize I probably know the answer to this question already, but I have to ask. Can we use an aftermarket O2 sensor? $120 is a little steep right now.

That is interesting. Thanks for the input. I think I can get a universal O2 sensor for about $56 from Pep Boys. I like that price much better than $120....

I don't pretend to know why, but there are a couple of threads around talking about how you shoudl NOT run Bosch sensors.

Gadget's company URD is selling Denso OEM parts for a pretty good price:

Dunno.. Drop 'em a line dood! (info@urdusa.com) I'd 1/2 way expect that one of those units should work.

I did a search on the net for the sensors .The picture of the stock looked the same as the Bosh.

Sorry...haven't been on in a bit, but I just got a new and put it on. It seems to be working great. Try www.sparkplugs.com...they've got a denso universal that runs 49.95. All you've got to do is cut the plug off the old one...they've got the instructions and connections in the box with the new sensor.

What "plug" exactly are you cutting off? I think my 02 sensor is dead..since I am in California I think I have 2 sensors as well. Are they both fried or just 1?

as far as i know the two sensors are different. the first one is called and air to fuel sensor($200 at the dealer) . and the second one is an o2 sensor.?

after changing it do you have to..

After you change it do you have to reset the computer or does it automatically reset itself? Thanks

AW1090 Nov 4, 2004 04:41 AM

I think you have to reset it yourself by pulling the efi fuse...at least that's what I did

You have to reset it. After I changed mine out last week I just took it to Autozone and they reset it.
