Hissing sound - Vacuum Leak Help

I've got a "new to me" 95 3.0 4runner SR5, about 182k on the clock - Yesterday I was checking the fluid level in the tranny (with the engine running) and I noticed a low hissing sound coming from the left side (as you face the truck) of the engine. There are a TON of vacuum hoses in there, and I'm guessing I need to check/replace everyone of them until I find the leaky culprit - Is there a quicker/more efficient way to find my leak? :dunno:

I also thought of an exhaust leak, but I don't smell any exhaust in the engine, and it hisses when it is cold or hot (checked it again this morning)

BTW, it runs fine, idles fine, no problems whatsoever other than a leaky power steering pump.

Any help would be appreciated.

Great site :great: - I've learned a ton about my 4Runner already just by visiting/searching the site. It rocks...

Grab a short length of hose from around the house or garage (2' - 5'). Hold one end up to your ear and position your hand to block out as much outside noise as possible. Hold the other end with your free hand and move it around the engine bay until the 'hissing' sound is loudest. This is where you should look for your leak.
