Front rotor installation
 

I'm going to get some new front rotors from NWOR. My question is, is it hard to change the front rotors. I can do most things, brake pads, belts, fluid changes, all that kind of stuff. If it isn't too hard, what tools will I need? Any info will help.

What year truck and is it 4x4 or 2wd?

i have a 90 4x4 with the v-6

Use a torque wrench on them, be gentle, and make sure you have the big socket for the bearing nuts. I assume you will repack the bearings too. Check out those links sherri posted. Lots of help.

Might also want to check the front axle seals and make sure you're not leaking grease.

I think by this you mean CV boots. If any of your CV boots are leaking now is the time to replace them, while you have the hub torn down. You do not need to remove the CV axleshafts to change rotors if you arent replacing the boots. You need a 54 mm socket or 2and 1/8th inch socket to get the knuckle off of the spindle. Also I reccomend a new hub face gasket to keep it watertight. At the very least use black RTV gasket sealer to seal it tight.
