1st gen washer fluid question

the washer fluid doesnt work and its all disconnected and i was wondering, is there a plastic resivor like hondas have, or does it have one of those plastic bags like what the back window has and its missing. Let me know cause id like to get this working.

the reservoir should be right next to the battery

Yep, ww reservoir is right next to the battery on the passenger side up by the grill. Shouldn't be too hard a part to find to replace.

Which reminds me, I need to look and see if I have a rear reservoir...which side is it on?

On both my 86 & 88 4-runners, the washer reservoir is between the battery & the grill area on the passenger side of the vehichle. Until just recently, neither of them worked. I just purchased a new washer pump & installed it myself on the 88 4-runner. Probably one of the simplest repairs I've ever done. If after you fill the reservior and it still doesn't work, pull the reservior out & see if pump has deteriorated. If so, it is only about $25.00 to replace.

thanks for the help guys, one more question though is the pump part of the resivor, or located somewhere else.

A lot of stuff on this thing is ghetto rigged / missing cause it was in an accident and has a salvage title.

the pump fits into a rubber grommet at the base of the reservoir, so yes it is a part of the reservoir
