the reservoir should be right next to the battery

Yep, ww reservoir is right next to the battery on the passenger side up by the grill. Shouldn't be too hard a part to find to replace.
Which reminds me, I need to look and see if I have a rear reservoir...which side is it on? :guitar: |

On both my 86 & 88 4-runners, the washer reservoir is between the battery & the grill area on the passenger side of the vehichle. Until just recently, neither of them worked. I just purchased a new washer pump & installed it myself on the 88 4-runner. Probably one of the simplest repairs I've ever done. If after you fill the reservior and it still doesn't work, pull the reservior out & see if pump has deteriorated. If so, it is only about $25.00 to replace.

thanks for the help guys, one more question though is the pump part of the resivor, or located somewhere else.
A lot of stuff on this thing is ghetto rigged / missing cause it was in an accident and has a salvage title. |
