small block chevy 350 in 95 toyota tacoma
has anyone ever tried to put a 350 small block chevy in a toyota tacoma pick up truck, i was also going to put a powerglide transmission in it because of the small housing. I kno i will have to cut the fire wall and possibly the floor but was wondering how much. O and by the way my truck is 3 1/2 inches body dropped haha. Anyone has any advice on doing the engin swap or a different transmission. Thanks a lot C Roussel

go to the forum on this site dedicated to motor swaps and search.. Plenty people have thrown a 350 in there yota however IMO Ide recomend you go 4.3 over the heavy 350. youd want to change the axles for bigger as the toyotas little 8" wont like that much power not to mention all the other stuff your gonna have to change out now and fab up. the chevy 4.3 is a perfect fit in the yota engine bay.. You can use your 5spd (asuming you have the 5spd) with a bellhousing adapter. I got a 4.3 swap thread going if you click on the link on my sig you can see it. Ive once thought about the 350 too but truely the 4.3 has great power, weighs alot less and is a perfect match and fit for Totota trucks and 4runners.

3.5" body DROP? (wrong site lol)
You might need a hood LIFT. Or cut a big hole in the hood!
Get the block, remove the engine, and start measuring. I dont know how much room the 2wd's have (PLEASE tell me its a 2wd thats lowered)

Most swap parts I know of are for 4wd, at www.advanceadapters.com but most stuff would work on a 2wd, except for the t-case mounts and stuff.
Just do a lot of measuring and mocking. Its not rocket science.
