Full Electric Swap

Has anyone done this yet? I have thought about it, and like the idea, but not sure what the reality would be like.

electric what? You asked a question without giving us any information.

Sorry bout that. Electric engine swap.

Curious about what the setup would be like. Pros, Cons, etc.

don't think that's a good idea. to retrofit an electric motor into a yota is not going to be easy or cheap. It's also going to be underpowered and the range isn't going to be good. Reliability could also potentially be a problem if you are still using it off road. If you want efficiency do a TDI or Mercedes om617 swap they will get you 25mpg+ and the merc will be very good reliability and more power then stock. you can also run them on used cooking oil. but if you decide to do the electric swap ill buy your truck for $500 a year later when it all explodes and stops working. I live in colorado springs. Also where do you even get a donor car for that type of project? sounds expensive to me. I don't see any pros to it. all cons. efficiency will be horrible. cost horrible. reliability horrible. range horrible. power horrible. everything is horrible. just stick with internal combustion engines. they are built for swaps.
