Engine Swap Questions SBC or 3.4

The 3.slow in my 1993 Toyota Pickup is about to reach 300,000 miles and i want to swap in a new engine. The engine runs fine but when I'm driving on hills with two dirt bikes in the back it has a hard time. I'm looking at putting either a Chevy V8 or Toyota 3.4. I want to know which would be the easiest and cheapest not including the price of the engine itself.

I'm leaning toward the V8 just because of the simplicity of not having to wire in fuel injection and it would have alot more power than the 3.4. Of course I would like to keep it a Toyota but Chevy makes a great engine too. I just want to know what the cheapest and easiest swap to do.

And how does the IFS hold up with the power of a V8? Its 4 wheel drive but I dont do and hard core off roading and its pretty much only in 4 wheel drive during winter. I will do a SAS eventually but I want a new engine first.

the 3.4 would be an easier swap since you can reuse parts from the 3.0 and not that well for ifs and a v8
