efi mtor to carb setup swap

hey guys there has been like a million different carb to efi threads but i have kind of a unique one..... i have an 83 p/u that was carbed and the motor blew, so i picked up an efi motor and want to know if i can just switch over the carb intake onto the efi motor, i know i need to switch out the dist. for my 22r one cuz of the vacuum advance but other than that i need some advice!!!

If you cant find the parts I have what you need for sale but your a little far from me.
set you up with an intake and anything else intake realated you need and a dizzy with vaccum advanced PM me if you need me

alright, so i pulled the old motor out and put the new one up to the transmission, and bolted the motor mounts down and the exhaust up to the block, as well as put the dizzy from my 83 in, and the fuel pump, and ran the vacuum line assembly thingy on the new block....so technically.. all i need to do is put the starter in, get a new intake that fits this year model head, cuz like you said the coolant port is different.... and i should be ready to rock and roll right?

alright finally got it switched over completly... so far this is what i have found..... you need to use the dizzy with a vacuum advance, a mechanically fuel pump that should mount into the hole covered by a block plate on your fi head, then the thing that a missed for the longest time is you have to use a lobe that comes on the carbed motors that bolts onto the cam shaft to pump the fuel pump, there shoudl already be a washer on the fi cam that is the same width of that lobe so you just remove the washer and bolt the dizzy gear and the lobe back up, you need to use the 22r intake with carb, and the exhaust manifold off a carb, or just build or buy headers for it. the trannsmision bolts right up, clutch everything is the same.... that should just about help anyone out that had the same problems i did lol anything else just pm me

idk, i plan on running pane so the carb does the trick lol but there is a million threads on converting to efi from carb, i thought i would throw a thread in there going the other way, i found out that the old fiftys chevy 1 barrel carbs work amazing on a 22r, they give it like 3 more fmf or whatever that abreviation is lol and they are so much simpler

you might have to have the cam escentric for the fuel pump if your motor doesent have it, wich you should be able to grab it off your old one, its just a round off center plate that pushes on the fuel pump arm, sits right behind the cam bolt
