im new to the toyota world. i bought an 82 truck a couple years ago just to bomb around in and never really had to work on it. now i need a new motor thanks to somebody running it out of coolant and cooking it. my buddy has a motor out of an 88 sitting in his shop that he'll sell me. just wanna make sure it will fit and what all ill have to change. id like to stay with the carb setup also.

oops. i guess the 88 is a 22re. so can i swap my intake manifold and carb onto it and just use that motor?
