Hello everyone I've been lurking around here ever since I heard that a 7mgte engine fits in my 91 pickup. Currently I'm running a 22re, it's almost dead, and I was thinking about replacing it with a 7mgte. So far I almost got a grip on what is needed and what I have to do. What is most important for me to know is what swap parts I need to get. Because I'm running a w56 transmision in my truck, it is my understanding that I have to get 5m/6m/7mgt manual transmission belhousing, this should allow me to bolt up the transmision to the motor. I also need a non turbo supra 7mgt flywheel+clutch, 5mgt motor mount brackets with 22r (0riginal) rubber motor mounts, the rest of the stuff I should be able to source like a rad, fuel pump upgrade, wiring etc..... I would like to ask all the gurus out there is this info that I got accurate? Don't want to order stuff that won't work. I posted a SOS in the wanted section for these parts, so if anyone reading this is holding any of this stuff, c'mon hook a brother up...... I guess this is the first post of my build thread. I'm just finishing up my wheel swap now, I installed 2012 fj cruiser trd bead lock style rims with 31" tires on my rig, just have to machine the center bore on the front rims so that it fits on th 4x4 manual hubs. I'll post picks up as soon as I get them back from the machine shop. Well that's its for now and hope to hear some responses, lets see what happens.
