3.4 swap CA ref - 3 linked front end

Hi all,

I have a 2nd gen 4runner that I just completed a 3.4 swap on. The truck is solid axle swapped and is currently on leaf springs front and rear. My plan is to 3-link the front end and fab a new front section of frame (going to cut it off right behind the motor mounts). Does anybody know if having a linked front end and fabbed front section of frame will cause issues when I take the truck to the ref (California)? Does the BAR ref even care about the frame/suspension?

I’ve heard of people with SAS’d trucks going through the ref, but they have all been on leaf springs and i haven’t heard about anybody modifying their frame. If i’m going to get hassled about it, i will leave it on leaf springs until after i take the truck through the ref.

Mods, feel free to move this if it's not in the appropriate section. Figured this would apply more to people doing an engine swap than to the suspension section.

The SMOG Refs only care about SMOG related components; I couldn't imagine them having an issue with your suspension.

so long as the upper link doesn't make you do something unusual with the exhaust
