3.0 to 4.7 swap?

Been looking around on here and have yet to find anyone who has tried this.. So I was wondering has anyone tried or has put a 2001 sequoia 4.7 into a 94 pickup? Any information is greatly appreciated.. Thanks

i have seen it done once in a 4 wheel magazine. I want it sooooo bad! Sick! I had a 06 Tundra with a Flowmaster 40-series 2 chamber muffler and 3" pipe and it had awesome power and sounded badass!

Well I don't know if there are any builds here but yes, the Lexus/Toyota V8 has been swap. The 4.0/4.3 use an aluminum block, the 4.7 uses a cast iron one. Also you can't use the Lexus mounts on the Toyota as their placed at a slightly different spot. More people are starting to do a 4.7 block, with 4.0 heads and intake as they rev higher and are proven to flow better. Anyways, I have talked to a few people with this as the goal in mind but have yet to see it. The difference between the engines is 2UZ has 2 bolt mains/1&3UZ use 6 bolt mains, 2uz is iron/1&3uz are alum, I believe the Tundra mounts are about 6" forward of the 1&3UZs , 2UZ uses a taller intake, and a few others but that's about it.

Google or use search, there are a few swaps that are putting a 2UZ into a pickup/runner. I think you need to do some real digging and find out what is involved. It's a lot easier to swap in a 4.0 than the 4.7 due to size. If you SAS you will have more room for oil pan, exhaust, etc., but it's very tight if you want to run AC and stuff. So spacing out the steering box, and swapping accessories over from an SC/LS400 will help, but won't solve all your issues.

Here is my build. Less talk and more rock.

Much lighter and better options as noted.
