22re compatible with 7mgte auto tranny?

alright so i just bought a 86' 4runner with a 22re. tranny has seen better days. I also have a 87 supra with a 7mgte and im just finishing up an auto to manual swap on it and i have the auto tranny sitting in my garage. Wat wud i have to do to use that tranny thats sitting on my garage floor.

The trans on the floor is a 2WD. Yours is a 4WD. They are not even remotely the same transmission.

Sell the supra trans, and buy an auto for your truck.

Is your 4runner manual? Don't put in an auto! It'll cost you $100-350 to put a tranny in yourself depending what kinda deal and if you get the whole t-case or not. These are super easy to swap in and out, you could have it done in a half day if you know what you're doing and got some friends to help maneuver things. Heck you could even sell your old tranny as a core or something for $50. Just in case you didn't know you want the W56 for a 22re, the R series won't work unless it's out of a turbo 22re, 4wd.
