2.4 to 2.7 engine swap

I have a 1994 pick up with a 22r 2.4 4cyl would it be too much troulbe to change out for a 2.7 4cyl from a 1997 pickup .I have all parts from 1997 truck .what changes will I have to do

Think seafarenman had the 3.0 replace for a 2.7L.

the exhaust routes to the opposite side, you'll need to do some wiring. pressure side of fuel line. Dont know about the a/c. Not sure about bolting up to your current tranny and the 2.7 transfer case has the output for the front drive line oposite of your currant set up. I'm not sure about the motor mounts either may be lucky and just swap the motor mounts from your 2.4.

the swap

i have a 1987 toy pickup with a 22re and an a tranns out of an 84 it has dual t cases sased 529s its how i want it i would like to do the 2.7 3rz swap im looking for parts now i have the engine but ORS is shut done for good and i need the harness or can i do the whole taco dash will it fit i also want to know if the bell housing with bolt up and motor mounts i would like to know how hard and how much time it will take to do this

bell housing off a 2.7 standard will bolt to the w56 5 speed transmission found in 86-95 pickups and 4runners

thanks for the links even if they are old. still useful. so 2.7 bell housing bolts to a w56? do i need new motor mounts or use the 3rz mounts in place of the 22re?

no u will need mounts i made my own but i think u can buy them im not 100% sure tho and yes the bell housing will bolt right up
