SAS alignment questions
1 Attachment(s)
So took my brand new SAS to the alignment shop, aaaand guess what, having some issues.
Attachment 156139 First order of business: 2* shims are on order for the caster angle, to see if that helps the bumpsteer. What I am now concerned about is the camber seems to be pretty off. I realize this is a non adjustable piece of the Solid Axle geometry, but that is why I am concerned. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of camber? Should I be worried about it/will it affect the truck negatively or is it 'close' enough to just let it be. I know camber could point to a bent housing, but everything slid in smoothly with no binding or problems when the axle was reassembled for the swap. |
Not familiar with sas much but I would imagine anything but good will cause issues, I see you went to Firestone and from personal experience I would go elsewhere.
Best alignment shop I have ever been to is bear frame and alignment on south broadway in Denver, they are excellent and I always went to them to get my lifted blazer aligned. They have been around forever and can deal with lifted trucks better than the local tire shop. |
