Just figured I'd show off my baby doing work :hillbill:

Nice looking truck ! looks like your trying your hardest to make it flex just a little bit more :)

jake90 02-08-2012 09:43 PM

Haha yea I can't seem to pick a front tire off the ground. The rear flex sucks though. I might put limiting straps on it.

looks good. homemade 3-link or a kit?

jake90 02-09-2012 06:14 PM

Thanks man. Yea its homemade and today Im working on getting the rear shocks in the triangular position so it should flex more in the rear hopefully.

Good looking truck:wrench:

nice flex. I would like to see a list of the major components. This is what I would love to have for my 92

Countryhick 02-17-2012 12:55 PM

change the rear to 63's for major flex with springs but triangulating the shocks help a little with flex breaking in the springs help quite a bit too. i wish i had a link front n rear. you should have alot more flex in the front than the rear now though helpfully you get it straightened out all looks great.

jake90 02-17-2012 05:53 PM

yea my old runner I built I swapped in 63's and it flexed great. This weekend I'm hoping I can get my shocks triangulated though an we'll see what it can do then.

If you lift up a front tire you'll see more rear flex, and vice versa. I'm guessing that's why in the pictures most of the flex is from the front axle.

Yeah when I crawl up on something the rear seems to stuff pretty well actually. I'm thinking about 4-linking the rear with coils to keep up with the front end.

lethe 02-18-2012 06:18 AM

looks good. sits pretty tall on 37s though.

Countryhick 02-18-2012 03:08 PM

looks great though man. Wish i knew how to do coils i would. Im not that into it.

jake90 02-19-2012 10:36 AM

Thanks man. Yeah it is pretty tall but the coilovers make it so stable compared to other leaf spring rigs that I've driven.
