Trails in Moab?
What would be some good trails for my group of 4x4's to hit in or around Moab? Planning on going at the end of March, 1 full day of wheelin, possibly 2.
Going will be a: dodge 2500 37 in tires, winch, possible locker by then. 1993 toy pickup, 33 in tires, no locker (50/50 if this guy is going) 1996 taco, 33 in tires, possible locker by then FJ 40, 32 in tires, possible locker by then All have recovery points and all have decent experience. P.S. does anybody use another website besides traildamage.com to find trails? |
i'm gonna be out there march 26-31st. i'm no expert but been going down there since i was 16 so i know my way around a bit. my favorites are hells revenge, Moab rim, and Poison spider. sounds like your rigs are built similar to mine, so thats probably the ones you should look at. the more extreme trails like Pritchett, Behind the rocks, and area BFE require 2 lockers and lots of armor. i haven't had much experience on these since my rig isn't up for it

Pick up a latitude40 map. They're at most of the bike shops/outdoor stores/natl park offices. Couple of choices for the moab area.

I'll try and find one, thanks!

So i'm thinking we might hit up the Crystal Geyser trail (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=288), going in through Secret Spire trail and maybe hittin up a few of the connecting trails.
If anybody has hit one of these trails I would love to hear about your experience. |
