Ok, I have a good friend who bought 75 Acres outside a few miles from Barona Casino. Now if anyone knows this area, its like a Rock Garden Coutry Heaven. He wanted to drive on his property and knew I had a truck mopre then capable to get him a better idea of his land. I got to run my truck on his land today, and believe me, it has lots of potential for wheeling and camping. He gave me full permision to use his land when ever I want. Nice guy huh?

What I would like to do is to see what kind of interest we have in the San Diego Area for people who are willing to come together and make possible for us Wheelers. I want to see who would be interesting in bringing some basic tools(weedeater, Axle, Chainsaw, Shovel,ect) and turning this into a place we can enjoy for camping and wheelin. I spoke to the owner about this, and he had no problem what so ever. He actually had lots of fun wheelin and breaking down old tree limbs to make a small trail. All he ask, is that I call him and let him know when and how many of us will be there. This is a great opportunity to clean up, and make a sweet trail, and an area we could have meet and greets, cookouts ect. for the club.

I call this trail Brain Wash cause its a wash with a huge rock above that looks like a brain.

im a good 2 hours and 120 miles from SD, but i would be willing to come down and wheel when you guys get it done!!! lol!

seriously tho, i could camp out there for a few days and help, or more likely get a hotel near by, i love my morning showers too much to miss em!

You, blacksheep, are one of the luckiest dudes ever. That land looks as killer as your rig. I'm surprised more SoCal guys aren't taking advantage of this. How many people can actually say, "yeah, i helped make this trail...."

I'm off work at 12:30 on Tues, I need to get my tires after that and ill be free after 1:30 or so, let me know whats up.

its just SOOOO far away, and being in school and working, ill probably never get a chance to go down there...

Someone just bring an elephant to stampede it's way through... hhahaha. That is pretty awesome though. If I was closer and owned any yard tools, I'd help out. Maybe I can bring a shovel or something...

im there as long as it over this winter because my wife is pregnant again and towards the beginning of the summer is when she is due so lets do some work over this winter

I'd be willing to help out as well. Plan something this winter and we could get some trucks out there, I'm sure.

i also will help out, its local and sounds like fun. I'm young with a strong back but no tools:D I'm a teacher so i work regular hours...

i have access to a gas weed wacker, chainsaw, and all the picks shovels and anything else.

id have to ask dad real nice like, but im sure he would let me borrow the tools.

I’m happy to see the response from the SoCal group. With TTORA & Yotatech it seems like we have more then enough people for this event. So far we have about 15 ppl. For a date, I would like to see what everyone thinks of Nov. 4th meet at around 4PM get a camp together, and wake up and start working to make a trail and camping grounds. The trail section that I have ran is only about 100 yards, but can be made to maybe 200 or more yards. It is a rough trail, but with some creative thinking, stacking, I think everyone could enjoy a short trail, place for meet and greets, and plenty of Poser/Ramp rocks. Here is one I tested my rig on. There is so much of this land I have not walked. But I think there is potential. Right now, the section I ran is about 15 mins long, but the opposite direction which I want to run eventually is very tough. I’m not sure I could make it very far, but with some stacking, adding some logs, it can be very sweet. I ran it again yesterday to get more of an idea, and we can make trails for sure. I will post some more info and the even, tools we have so far. Thanks for all the help everyone. I Appericate it.

Would be glad to help out but like already stated that weekend is the first desert trip.

This sounds like a long but very doable project and I am sure Mike can org a couple of trips out there to hook it up real nice like!

Word!!! The 11th sounds good. I'm planning a family road trip (AZ,NM,CO, & Ut) starting on the 13th but can sneek out for the day to lend a hand.

OK, Lets get a vote on dates. What letters works best for you?

A: Nov. 4th-5th
B: Nov. 11th-12th
C: Nov. 18th-19th

On the first day, we will focus on Fire Prevention, so weedating grass before sun down will be important. If someone could post the rules or laws for Cali in this area regarding camp fires, that would be great. There is already a nice cement, rock stone fire pit for a contained fire. Also there is a Metal Barrel that we can use to burn off gunk as in grass, wood, ect. If someone could donate a new Metal Barrel, that would be great. Another important element we could use is water water water. The ground is very dry, and could use to to settle the ground, put out fire incase of emergency, ect. I thought about bringing my BBQ Gas Grill and cooking Carne Asada, tortillas, and what ever anyone else wants to cook. This would be a good time for a possible meet and greet, and new members to come out and get to know there club even if we are not wheelin. I would also like to clear enough area for all of our trucks to park in.

Day Two: The primary focus on day two is going to be the fun part, Trail Making of Brain Wash Trail. Are there laws on this or rules that apply to the state, or does it matter at all since its private property. If someone has knowledge in this area, this would be great. I don’t want to break any laws against the state. There is a small section on this property that is protected and is considered pristine wildlife protection. I know where this property line is already. I would like to clean up the entrance to the property, camp grounds, and trail area. There is a road on this land that has ruts larger then my truck to fit in, so we could possible fill them in with logs and dirt. Filling in some holes on the trail would be nice. But main thing I would like to accomplish is discovery of the start and end points of the trail. There is already a short section that I have ran and is lots of fun, but needs to be longer and made into a loop which I have ideas already. There is a good large grass land with very nice shady trees and lots of places to hang hammocks if any one has one they want to use while where here.

Does anyone want to pitch in for food, I was thinking of possible using my paypal account if anyone wants me to get more Carne Asada? Or everyone could bring there own. I plan on cooking for everyone as long as we have food. A few tables would be nice. I have a small fold out one, and a few water jugs. I plan on using my winch and toe ropes to pull out dead trees and make a fire wood place incase we can have fires certain times of the year. There are 2 large cement foundations that is level and can be used for the Meeting area and tables and stuff. We could fit a large tent over this area as well.
