Ric-

I'd love to join you, except I've decided to head to Montauk the following weekend with the KC4WDA. Can't justify being gone two weekends in a row. If something changes I'll let you know.

Also, I checked out your website. I look forward to seeing more pics of you wheelin' your rig.

Ric 04-24-2003 06:01 AM

well,
i can sure understand about justifing wheeling 2 weekends in a row, lol, and if something does change, we`d love to have ya with us., yea i need to work on the website asap, lol.

Tuttle

Ric, this is Josh Winter, talked to you via e-mail to set this deal up. It's Tuttle Lake, not Tuttle Creek, by the way. It's just north of Manhattan, KS. Whoops, actually just looked it up and it's Tuttle Creek Lake.
Last time I just searched the web for 'Tuttle Lake 4x4 area manhattan, ks' to find directions, I think. I'll need to do it again, because I can't remember to get there. Here are some websites about it.

Do you want to meet somewhere to drive out together?
Talk to you later.

Josh

Ric, where are you located, exactly? I think I saw Missouri plates on your website??
I'm about 25 minutes south of the Metro area, in a town called Spring Hill, KS.

I got T-boned last week coming back from Lee Summit Airport....
Yeah, 9K in dmg on my vehicle alone, everyone is OK!!

Now we wait... and wait for repairs... I never knew how much I loved driving my rig until after a week without it..

Ric 04-29-2003 10:04 AM

well im glad that no one got hurt, i know what ya mean about loving the rig, my other cars trucks etc., i had to wash and wax to really enjoy driving / owning them, but my Runner, I JUST LOVE, clean or dirty, lol. well glad everyone is ok.

92runner 04-30-2003 11:03 AM

Can anybody do anything on Sat. May 10? If not, I may be able to go on the 17th to Tuttle. It's a bit of a drive but would be nice to check out. I'll post again when I know for sure. Thanks.

Scott

Ric 04-30-2003 01:00 PM

Hey, i might be able to, where was ya thinking about going ?
Ric

92runner 04-30-2003 01:35 PM

I'm open to suggestions. Did you say there were some trails up in North KC? Or we could try Raytown Rd if it is open?

Scott

Ckretintimidator 04-30-2003 02:16 PM

Meeting place....

KCtopher,
Bummer about the damage to your vehicle, good thing everyone was fine. Did you get it fixed up yet.
92Runner,
Don't think I could make it on the 10th, got some buddies graduating that day, I think. But depending on the time of the graduations, maybe I could. I'll check and see. But come out to Tuttle if you can, it's a bit of a drive, but it's lots of fun out there, plenty of good mud and hills to play on/in.

Ric,
Since we'll be going out on I-70, how about if we meet at the first service plaza, or whatever they are called, on the toll section?
Maybe at, say, 9 am? That should put us out there around 11.
Get any other guys who want to go?

Josh

Ric 04-30-2003 03:03 PM

Scott,
last i heard, Raytown rd. was open, and the trails off barry rd. well there isnt that many, just enough for a quick fix, lol, ill see if any one else wants to go, i do have a soccer game at 1pm up north, but i think the would rather go wheeling, seeings how we havent been in soooooooo long. about what time was you thinking about going ???
Ric

Ric 04-30-2003 03:23 PM

Ckretintimidator,
PM me with the details, sounds like a plan.

92runner,
ive heard about some "county roads" up north by Richmond and Knoxville, heard they can be pretty nice to wheel on, but i have never been. anything is fine with me..
