So Cal ttora has a trip on the calendar for March 16-17

Anytime past April this year is a definite no-go for me, so March would be the best month for me. 2 days in DV will is just not enough IMO. The trip last year was fantastic and was a very well-planned run that accomodated many people who showed up for the weekend.

I think that we should schedule a run starting with TTORA on the 16th and then staying around for a couple more days until the 20th. Now is the time to set a date and plan around it so people can take vacation time if they need to.

I like that idea, even though I wouldn't be able to hang around for the couple extra days.

Anytime from March on works for me. The "boss" already knows that no matter what I am going to DV this year.

so besides being a big fricken desert, what is there to do wheeling wise? what kind of terrain?

Here's the state website for starters.

There's Manson's cabin - that is freakin cool in itself, Stirped Butte, "The Racetrack", and many other sites to see. The wheelin can be mellow to downright tough. Sidekick Off-Road has a nice map of the trails out there. Hopefully they've updated it since the close of Surprise Canyon.

Sounds like a great trip. I'll hopefully be going to TDPobre and to folloe it up with this would be awesome. Start planning now boys.

It's mostly an expedition style run with a lot of miles. There's plenty of trails out there to chew your tires on out there.
