Worth the money? 98 x cab tacoma with branded title

Found a 98 Tacoma SR5 extra cab 4x4 manual, 4 banger, with 130000 miles on it.

Has 4 wheel drive, air conditioning, alloy wheels, bedliner, sliding rear window, tinted windows, and tow package.

One down fall, title is branded.

There asking 7995. Might i add its at a used car dealership, think i can talk them down due to the title?

Ill add pics soon.

It means that the vehicle had been in some sort of wreck, but had been fixed.

I dont have any suggestions and am not as familiar with that generation of trucks, but I did just see a thread here recently that they have a frame recall on that year just to give you a heads up.

Seeing it has an Oregon tag, I dont think you have a really bad rust problem, probably about what I have here in the midwest but something to make you aware of.

Have you ran a CarFax or similar on the VIN?

Seems there are different levels of branded titles here in Oregon.

Seems it would have had to get into a pretty good wreck to have a branded title.....

Red face

I think it is a little High unless 4 Cylinders are in demand out there for Gas Mileage .

I paid that for a 2000 Tacoma 3.4 5 speed SR5

The rates out here are extremely high for Tacomas. They seem to be in high demand.

Here's the problem for them out here you have two types-

1. You find one out in the Portland-metro area but its over priced (popular, high demand), but body looks good, and can sometimes have lowish miles. Normally pavement princess's. These cost more.

2. You find it out in the middle of no where, with high miles, body beat to ˟˟˟˟ (gives character lol) but the price is about right.

Gotta love Oregon :/ lol
