Is it worth it
I am looking at a 88 toyota pickup reg cab short bed. New Paint. NO RUST. interioris in ok shape. The body has 210,000 and the motor 135,000. Only thing is is that it needs a door panel and a raditor becaus it leaks. It also has a small lift and brand new 31in mud tires and mickey thompson rims. He is asking 3500$ should i go for it or offer less. Thanks

Like Creswell said, that price is a no-go here in Oregon. Where are located?

Here in the salt belt (PA) that's a STEAL!
Need to post your location. Edit: it's only a steal if it's the 22R or 22RE (that's a 4cyl) the V6 is well.... prone to failure. Oh and the auto is junk IMO. |
Down here, $3500 would be considered way too much unless the truck was pristine.
You may want to look up the blue book value for your area before making a decision. |
Price is a little up there like everyone else was saying. I would keep looking around and see how much all the other yotas in your area are going for. The last thing you wanna do is rush into buy a truck and paying more than you should.

Here in Maryland, all the cheap ones are either rusted, beat up almost beyond recognition, or both. I bought mine for $3500. To me, it sounds worth it if it has new rims, tires and paint with no rust. But, like others said, it all depends on the location.

That a bit too much for my area in Utah. I could get some really nice yota's for that price.

sounds high for Maine. I just got an 88 4runner with 137000 and clean for 1000.00 and a friend of mine scored big on a 96 4runner showroom cond for 2500.00. Just because the seller has 3500 into the rig doesnt mean its worth that for sale.
