Thinking of selling...

I have a '97 4Runner SR5 5 speed. I love this thing so much, but dont really know what to sell it for. Its completely loaded to the gills. New stage 2 clutch, killer sound system, 8k Warn winch, new 265/75/16 Courser M/T's , new Optima Battery, new Starter, Brush Guards front and rear, cold air intake, leather is in perfect shape. LED interior lighting. Custom Exhaust. I took the running boards off but they are still in great shape. This Rig has been Houston, Tx maintained its whole life, Only synthetic oil. Runs and drives Amazing. Selling it because I want something a little sportier and I'm getting a 1013 Tundra. I was thinking I could 8.5K respectfully. Tell what you guys think.

What part of a 2013 Tundra is sporty? Personally, your 4Runner has a more sport feel to it than the tundra would.

I say keep the 4Runner and throw some mods into it. Throw some plated bumpers front and rear, get some sliders, lift it up 3" suspension, 1" body, buy some 35s for it, and regear / lock it and start your expedition mods. you'll love it.

In all honesty I need a full size truck for hauling stuff.( I have to finish my basement, build some decks and whatnot.) The tundra will have plenty of power supercharged and lifted.
And, I have never bought brand new. I owe it to myself.

Its up to you :) Personally, I hate being locked in a contract. Given the situation, I think i would keep the 4Runner and buy an older tundra ( 4.7 V8 model ) and have both. Its cheaper, you get your basement, decks and what not done. and you have the best of both worlds ( SUV / truck ) Not to mention, you'll OWN both vehicles and not be in a car payment.

Lol isn't the platinum like a 50-60,000 dollar truck? bit on the pricey side for a work horse, which kinda fits the description you're looking for.

I'd just go get an older tundra. They're great, reliable. not overly ridiculously huge, and have plenty of power / reliability. Not to mention, they also have superchargers for them. :P
