Definitely DO NOT repaint it!!
Not to hijack the thread (it's still a tad on topic), but here's a "BUSHWHACKER" Toyota I came across on CL. It's hard to see the pics, but I've seen this several times before and figure it was also a dealer option targeted for the good 'ole boys below the Mixie Dixie line.

If that truck truly does not have any serious rust, I would say it is worth between 8k-10k on eBay. I would not repaint it, but wax the rest of it if it makes it shine. I have never heard of the rebel edition, but I can say the some people would love it and some people might be offended by it, but it is not worth repainting as it is a rare original paint job.
