Where are all my Orange County peoples?

Just wanna know because I think I might be an ex-San Diegan soon.
My parents are looking at buying property in Irvine...

taco04 May 17, 2005 02:34 PM

Right here..for now

Im in Irvine...but I just bought a place out in Murrieta so technically wont be Orange County for much longer than next week. I'll still be working in Irvine though.

I understand that Mickey Mouse lives in Anaheim. Or at least I have seen him there on several occasions, along with several of his pals.

Does that help?

Tacoma Dude Jun 18, 2005 02:15 AM

We're waiting for escrow but it *looks* like I'll be moving to Irvine from San Diego in about 2 weeks.

I've got to start boxing things!

2WDoffroadx May 10, 2007 03:51 PM

I'm from Anaheim Hills but often in the Irvine/Tustin/Santa Ana area. (My shop is on the border of the three cities)
Sure wish SoCal 4Roc was more energetic! It would be awesome to set up an OC wheeling group.
Your 1st gen looks awesome! If any of the OC guys want to do a wheelin' trip or need someplace to wrench, drop me a PM or something!

HKWong34 Apr 5, 2010 10:15 PM

I'm new to the scene... Just picked up a 1st Gen a few weeks ago and I've been ripping out all the carpet and cleaning it up. I'm interested in going on a trail? I'm in Tustin/Irvine.

Fedden May 26, 2010 10:57 PM

bb7110 May 31, 2010 05:41 PM

97blkt4r Jun 1, 2010 12:53 PM

I might be up for going to holy jim this weekend.

Mig04 Jun 2, 2010 01:13 AM

Long Beach, a lot of my wheeling buddies live in Irvine, so the drive isn't a big deal for me.

Dude, this thread was started in 2005. talk about resurrecting a thread...

Anyways I'm new. Just bought my first truck. 2001 4Runner SR5 4x4
I live in trabuco canyon and would love to tool around holy jim canyon in the near future.

mr.spohn Sep 22, 2010 11:25 AM

New the scene as well. I live in Garden Grove. Have a 1990 runner 33x12.50 tires limited turning radius for now, looking for a lift on a budget! Anyways always looking for something to do. Want to try this out in some mud!

bb7110 Sep 22, 2010 11:48 AM

Welcome to the boards! The SoCal 4ROC scene is still pretty ghostly, but I am most defiantly down to hit some mud. The 4Runner isn't my daily anymore, so that frees it up to get beaten on a bit harder.

mr.spohn Sep 22, 2010 12:03 PM

I am not to sure where to go. My runner is my daily but hell what is the fun in babying it right. Hey you know where i can get a cheap body lift, i only need 1-2 inches to clear the tires. i would fab something but fabbing is not my strong suit so any help would be great.

bb7110 Sep 22, 2010 12:20 PM

I only know of one little mud pit out in Holy Jim, but it hasn't rained in a while so it's going to be totally dry.
If you want to buy a kit locally, 4WheelParts is a pretty nice place to go. They have a location in Santa Ana I've been to a few times. Seem like nice enough guys, willing to help out.
Best bet is on line somewhere. I got my few inches of lift from rear blocks and a crank in the front...
Check out this site: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/index.shtml#MODIFICATION$$$

He made his body lift super cheap.
Good luck!

mr.spohn Sep 22, 2010 12:29 PM

Thanks i will look into it. How far out is Holly Jim
