oh wow...i'm loving that Blue color....and the wheels that are on it!?!?!??:fork:

MaK92-4RnR Sep 20, 2010 08:52 AM

I like the flat blue color more than the voodoo blue.

The Army Green is supposed to be new too if I read the article right...

Why can't there be a nice dark Navy Blue?

Ron Helmuth Sep 20, 2010 09:09 AM

5th gen 4Runner rims I believe

camo I believe those are 5th gen 4Runner rims. I've always been a fan of the Swiss cheese looks rims myself and saw these at the dealership on a 2010 4Runner- it may have been the Trail Edition but not sure.

Army green was new for the FJ in the 2010 model year.

This new baby blue that is replacing the voodoo.. SO much less obnoxious.. I like it :great:

You are correct. They are 5th gen 4Runner wheels. And I do believe those are exclusive to Trail edition 4Runner.
I fell in love with those wheels the first time I saw the first pics of the 4Runner.

the quicksand looks GREAT. have seen a couple runnin around town, havent seen the calvary blue here yet.

I thought they were discontinuing the FJ? The need to get some of the color from the Iron Pig like that red.

the quicksand color is cool...but not sure if naming it quicksand on a 4x4 was a good idea:D

That is a running joke each year.
They actually do discontinue it each year, then they bring out a new year :D

Yes, I like the green, saw one at my dealership awhile back.
I also like the decal for the hood that was applied to this one.

I am thinking of getting one of those decals, but it would be custom with a compass, similar to Wolf's Disco II.

Oh, from the 2011 spec sheet I see they "fixed"/changed my only complaint about the FJC, it's slow 18:1 steering ratio. It looks like they fit a 4R rack with it's quicker 15.7:1 ratio, much better for pavement or trail IMO. I guess they decided that they went a little too far toward off-road with the original rack that takes a bit more planning to maintain line. I imagine it's an easier FJC to live with, good move!

Corey Sep 20, 2010 03:05 PM

Is this an easy swap Bob to the other ratio?

BT17R Sep 20, 2010 03:29 PM

Corey, the new FJ rack should be a drop-in. I started looking into adapting a 4R rack years ago but wasn't 100% if it would work. This new one should be a direct replacement while using the same pump, hoses, connectors and whatnot.

Lysmachia Sep 20, 2010 03:47 PM

I like the new colors! But a fire engine red one would be awesome!

toyota4x4907 Sep 20, 2010 03:53 PM

I just saw one of the new cavalry blue. Unless there is a light/baby blue color already out, this one was definitely that color. I liked it.

Corey Sep 20, 2010 04:31 PM

Bob, what is the biggest advantage?
My steering already seems very twitchy to me coming from the vehicles with ball steering the system that was on my '90 Xtracab truck and the 4Runner.

BT17R Sep 20, 2010 06:21 PM

A more relaxed on-pavement driver, less attention required to maintain a line, easier parking, improved turn-in and handling.

JBurt Sep 20, 2010 06:28 PM

I thought toyota added three new colors for 2011. I saw this at a gas station a couple weeks ago lol.
