Corey's ship comes in...

...literally. Atlantic Highway, Coreymobile aboard, docked at Terminal 4 in Portland from Japan today. Fair weather and following seas cut her crossing time by a day. The countdown continues...

Edit: The deck mounted structures enclose surface-to-air missiles protecting the ship from North Korean hostile fire.

msw0085 is pondering the irony of the ship named "Atlantic Highway" which travels from Japan to Portland.

Congratulations on the order!

You know what corey. I worked on an 06 Camry that had that same remote. I got in and then pulled it into my bay and the alarm went off as soon as i popped the hood. Scared the ĊĊĊĊake out of me. It took me forever to figure out how to shut it off. Just a story i thought you guys would like to hear lol.

<hijack>
my alarm goes insane every time i reconnect my battery. scares the crap out of me even when I know it's coming! this makes the value of my aux. fuse box that much more valuable because I no longer need to disconnect the battery to hook up new electronics.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Yeah, it's mine. There was really nothing to it.

airrikk17 Jul 16, 2006 11:38 AM

you should go down and watch them unload those ships and see how many vehicles come off those things .

and then see how badly they get mistreated( opps corey you probably didnt wantot hear that LOL)
honda over a terminal 6 has its own body shop on the premsies. they unload fords , hondas , and hyundais over there and subarus are unloaded at another terminal on the other side.

its pretty amazing watching those guys make $27 plus bucks an hour to unload them .

I use to install radios in the Chevy Luv trucks back in the 70s for awhile in Seattle.
Believe me, I have seen them unload vehicles.

All that is covered.
If my new rig is scratched, off it goes to a body shop on their dime.

Actually, the stevedores made about $125,000 per year working part-time unloading Toyota boats a couple of years ago when they went out on strike for higher pay and shut down all West coast ports.

Needless to say, they didn't get much sympathy from locals and quickly settled once their contract details were revealed. They now average $135 per hour working 2-3 days per week.

How could this whole thread go without a comment on this?? Corey pay extra to have his truck delivered on an armed ship? :eeek:

I am just glad it is here, that way there doesn't have to be 100 more posts about how it is ALMOST here. :D :chair:

I assume you plan to abuse it once it gets here right? :D
