As anyone ever regeared there T100. I've done some researching on this and I've found a little info. If I reading things correctly then the 95.5 + Tacoma, 00-06 Tundra, and 93-98 T100 all use the same rear Diff. 8", 8.4", or 8.25" all referring to the same thing that really measures 8". So does this mean that these diffs are interchangeable. I'm asking as I would like to mind some 4.88's or lower for my T100. If these diffs are interchangeable then I could hit up a local junk yard ya know. Does anyone have any info on what gears were mostly available in what vehicle listed above. For instance some Runners came with 4.88's which were interchangeable with the mini trucks. I am searching now so as I find more info I will update this for everyone else as we'll. thanks for those that respond.

Hey guys I'm having some Diff issues here. I found 2 toyota T100's. Both are 3.0 4wd trucks. One is auto the other is standard.

Both axle codes are A04A

From my searching I'm funding mixed reviews on this code. Some say its a 4.56 while others claim it to be a 4.10 or 4.30.

My 95 t100 axle code is A10A which I know is a 4.10.

Can you guys chime in on this one. I can get both front and rear thirds for $150.00 cash out of either truck. If there 4.56 or lower then its worth it to me considering im running 35" tires on 4.10's

It depends on the tire size the truck came with. Like you said, the A01A is a 4.10. From my understanding, the highest ratio available in the T was a 4.30, so chances are if you want higher than that, you'll have to regear yourself or buy a prebuilt diff from someone like east coast gear supply.

Like I told you in your build thread, setting up gears is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. If I were you, I'd order up a gear set for the rear with an install kit, have a learning experience, and find a matched gear front diff.

You can also email Zuk on his website, www.gearinstalls.com and see how much he'd charge to regear it for you.

One way or another, if you want lower gearing than 4.30, your gonna have to do it the hard way.

From what I've heard T100s only came with 4.10s and 4.30s stock and the pickups/4runners came with 4.56 and 4.88s

DId you ever pick up those diff's? Install em?

What size tire are you going with that you want 4.88's or better?

No I never grabbed the gears... but I'm currently running 35's

My T100 is gear code A05A, I have checked the diffs and I have 4.71.

Killer, I think your a little off on your ratio. The T100 never came with anything higher than a 4.30. What engine and trans do you have in your truck?

You may want to recheck that bit of info- according to the dealer parts dept (which I just pulled out of their parking lot) avail diffs for the 94- there are actually 2 ratios available that are lower, 4.70 and 4.90. Call your local draler and ask. With that said, I think I may actually have 4.90.

You are absolutely correct.. I did find a set of 4.70 gears in a 93 Sr5 t100. 3.0 auto trans.

Short of pulling my diff out, counting revs of driveshaft/tire- I get 4.70 on my 94.

Ok I'm sorry. I do know though, that with the 3.4, they dropped most of those. When I first looked into regearing a couple years ago, the only ratios available were 3.73, 3.90, 4.10 and 4.30. Guess I didn't think to check a 3.0 T100.

And just a word of caution, don't trust dealer parts people too much. The ones at the dealer I work for will tell you damn near anything to make you happy. I've had to correct them many many times when helping customers. They usually go for the first answer that pops up on the screen, whether it helps or not.

I actually looked at their screen in parts department, pulled up my VIN, and it showed what diffs were available in the automatic (I dont trust pats guys either, most are barely able to get me the correct oil filter) so I was actually seeing the factory build data. And again when I counted revs. Of driveshaft/tire I did it a total of 6 times because I didnt believe it was almost going aroung (driveshaft) 5X

A04A is 4.70, I have 4.90 diffs in mine- that took alot of work but it is verified. A05A is 4.90
