Is it hard to find parts for T100s?

Hello! I’m looking at T100s and I’m just curious about the availability of parts. The one I have in mind is a 1996 2WD. I’m really looking for a dependable truck for fishing/camping and occasional use, but my mechanic says it’s hard to reliably get parts for the T100.

Is this true in y’all’s experience? I looked online and it seems like my mechanic may be full of it lol but you guys would know more about it.

Your truck literally has the same suspension has every 86-95 truck and every motor from 95.5-04. It's a bastardized Tundra (inbetween model/year) but regardless, it was still made for 6 years. lol

In other words, your mechanic is blowing smoke.

Ok that made me laugh. I suspected as much. I’m probably going to buy the thing and I bet it will be fine!

Yeah, my cousin has a 95 T100 3.4/5 speed manual and it's been a fantastic truck. We lifted it, put it on 35s and he hasn't had to do a damn thing to it besides clutch master/slave cylinders.

:coffee:

Most mechanical parts (engine, transmission, suspension) should be fairly easy to find.

It is the T-100 specific parts that are hard to find, namely body, interior, and trim parts.

For your purposes, you should be just fine.

I have the same setup, 95 3.4L MT 4x4 with 35s. My question is, you didnt have to regear your diffs?
