no forward progress to report but friday this happened:
fan support bearing failed when arriving at a job walk with a client. i muscled it into the parking spot (PS went out too) and after ward removed the fan shroud and fan and limped her home from Rancho Cordova to Colfax.
Very glad the water pump is timing belt driven and not by the fan pulley like most or i would have really been stranded.
Ordered one off amazon t and she has arrived today so i should be able to get her installed tonight if the rain behaves some.

not a lot done but i did get the new fan support installed so she is running again and threw on the IFS hubs i had laying under the work bench so i could get an actual width measurement.
with the IFS hubs and the stock brake rotor behind the hub i am right at 67" WMS to WMS. if i end up going to the FROR tacoma/tundra style brake setup it should add another 1/2" i would think but i think that might have to wait for a future upgrade.
I also decided to do something creative and dug into the scrap pile and made myself a little helper

thanks man. Hopefully soon I will be welding up the axles with an alignment bar I borrowed from a buddy, then I just have to start getting them under the truck, hopefully in the next month or two I can start the tear down!

well I got the rear axle spacer all welded in last night
came out pretty strait. the blue is the alignment bar inside the spindle.
washed over a weld on the side I didn't cut into to straiten the axle on that side some. not the prettiest but it did recenter the alignment bar in the spindle by about 3/16"
I also stripped the knuckles off the front axle so I can get the alignment jig in there next after I finish welding on the rear diff cover and some bracing.
not too much but considering I went out to the garage at 11pm and only worked until 12:45am it was good progress.

well I got a little bit more done over the weekend.
got the rear housing finished up with a quick strap bent over the diff cover to protect the ring gear and another strap bent across the bottom to help with diff dragging protection.

[img width=1200 height=1200]https://i.imgur.com/OWDUR7M.jpg
I also had measured and cut the nitro cut to length shaft before welding the diff cover back on.
[img width=900 height=1200]https://i.imgur.com/sc6PB7K.jpg
the nitro is in the middle in that pic with the stock long side and short side on both sides. the custom short side measured out at 33.5" from mating surface to end of splines. the stock short side was 29" and the long side is 36.5". still not a perfectly centered diff but close enough for the girls I run with.
then I pulled the third and alignment jig and moved on to the front. Front turned out to be too bent to get the alignment jig through. so I came up with this:
[img width=1200 height=899]https://i.imgur.com/fnL72Us.jpg
used 2 20 ton jack stands and some scrap metal and a 12 ton jack to bend her back to strait then added heat via TIG welder to keep her strait once the pressure was released. I plan on adding a truss but I want to wait until all my 3 link brackets are on first and add the truss during final weld out.
also finally put my springs on the CO's and started going through my t cases to see if I need any other parts.
[img width=1200 height=900]https://i.imgur.com/g6piMjz.jpg
swapped the 21 spline out for the 23 spline I had lying around
[img width=1200 height=900]https://i.imgur.com/c1wI7B0.jpg
need to remove the interlock pin and buy a double or triple stick for this.
[img width=1200 height=900]https://i.imgur.com/SwdTaJf.jpg
hopefully get the t case together next and then I should be about gathered enough to start cutting IFS off!!!! stay tuned!!!!

well guys i have bad news for this project. looks like the T100 SAS will be put on hold indefinitely at this point. as much as i have always wanted a T100 with a SAS i have wanted this more:
it is a 73 fj40 with a freshly rebuilt TBI350, NP465, NP205, dana 60 rear and dana 44 front with uninstalled 4.88's an a rear detriot.unfortunately the wife will not let me do both projects so i have to make some tough decisions.

Aw man that sucks. I love T100s and was excited to see it in action. Are you selling the T100? And for how much?
