Where to get a quality alternator rebuild kit.
As the title says, where can I get a quality alternator rebuild kit? Realizing how bad remanufactured parts can be.
Thanks Bill |
Visit Toyota Parts Deal for certain remanufactured OEM parts with Toyota warranty. I got my reman starter 28100-35060-84 from there.
Rebuilt parts are not that bad. One reason people suspect rebuilt parts are bad is because someone wildly guesses, buys a rebuilt part to replace stock part and does not solve the problem, when the real cause of the problem is elsewhere. People replacing starter after starter when they have the click-only but no-crank issue is perfect example. |
I buy alternator parts a la carte from various Ebay sellers.
Not every alternator needs every new part. Depends on what part failed. Most common failure is brushes wearing short. Brush cassettes, slip rings, bearings, diode bridge, voltage regulator, all available. I'd stay away from chinese bearings. |

I would have to say it really depends on where you buy your rebuilt parts some are quite bad .
I just bought a Starter and Alternator rebuilt through Toyota a year warranty . I have bought starter and Alternator parts from Toyota as well. |
