Running lights on 1994 Toyota RV

The front overhead running lights are always leaking and I want to replace them with flat reflector lights, but not sure if this is legal. Anyone know?

That would depend on the state you are in and how high it is. You can probably find the vehicle code for your state on the DMV/DOT website.

I am not sure how you have tried to seal it so far, but I do remember from a few years back when I was working with RVs there was a rubberized material that was used to seal roof vents, lights, etc. I think it was butyl tape. It was suppose to be way better than the putty, but was a lot more expensive. I would try installing new lights with the butyl tape and then sealing the roof with the proper RV roof sealer. Every older RV that I have owned has had major leaks and damage, so it is worth sealing everything you can while you are working on it. There are just way too many places for those to leak!

Reflectors are not lights!!

To be legal I bet you need to keep your lights

I am pretty sure all light standards follow the federal guide lines.
