Power Antenna
 

1990 Toyota 4Runner. V6, 4WD. I am in the process of replacing my antenna mast on mine. However the new mast won't go all the way down, as it did previously. I'm guessing there is part of the cord (?) still left in there from the previous mast. How can I get to the antenna motor?

If it's like the 3rd gen, you get to the motor from under the passenger front wheel well. You get to the wire through the glove box.

i havent had to do it, but i think you access the motor from the passenger tire wheel well. take the plastic cover off and it should be right there.

From the wheel well on 2nd gens as well.
